I write stories about public health — covering government health agencies, the opioid crisis, infectious diseases, and access to care. I also report on issues that matter to the people who work in health care.
I grew up in Towamencin Township and majored in journalism and French at Penn State University. I started at The Inquirer as a summer intern in 2010 and was hired here full-time in 2012. I covered a variety of beats, including crime, features, and politics before moving to the Health desk in 2018. I live in South Philadelphia with my husband and cat.
