What I Do
I’m the Deputy Managing Editor of News, leading a dedicated team of talented editors and reporters covering politics and government, justice and injustice, and education.
My Background
i joined The Inquirer in 2022 to work as the deputy editor for the More Perfect Union project examining the roots of systemic racism through institutions founded in Philadelphia. When that project concluded, I moved to The Inquirer's News desk to be the assistant managing editor, leading a team of editors and reporters who cover politics and government, justice and injustice, and education.
Before joining The Inquirer, I worked as an editor at WHYY, managing a team of local news reporters. I began my career as a news reporter in New York, working for the Brooklyn Paper, and co-founded The Lens, a nonprofit news website in New Orleans, where I reported on local government.
I graduated from Oberlin College with a bachelor's degree in creative writing and live in Philadelphia with my family.
