What I Do
I select, edit, and curate images across The Inquirer’s platforms. I work closely with photographers to capture the best visuals that tell the stories of our community. I verify image authenticity and follow best practices in photojournalism. I also help manage our archive, organize digital assets, and optimize visuals across our platforms.
My Background
I’m Jasmine Goldband, a photo editor at The Philadelphia Inquirer, where I’ve worked since August 2022. Before that, I spent five years as a projects photo editor at the Houston Chronicle. My work has been recognized by multiple organizations, including as a Pulitzer Prize finalist for breaking news as part of the team covering Hurricane Harvey.
A Pennsylvania native, I’ve also worked as a award-winning photojournalist and visual producer in Pittsburgh. I’m a member of the National Press Photographers Association and the Online News Association.
