What I Do
I am the Creative Director at The Philadelphia Inquirer, helping lead a team responsible for the visual presentation of the newspaper and digital and social platforms. I also oversee graphics, data, interactives, and illustrations.
My Background
I have been the creative director in The Philadelphia Inquirer newsroom since 2021, leading a team of designers, art directors plus interactive, data, and graphics teams. Previously, I was a senior design editor at the Washington Post. I helped lead a team of 45+ visual designers on the newsroom’s most ambitious stories across newspaper, digital, and social platforms.
In 2019, I helped direct and produce “12 seconds of gunfire: The true story of a school shooting," a virtual reality experience that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. The story is an immersive 360-degree film with original art, writing, and audio.
I have taught visual journalism, storytelling, and leadership to professionals and college and high school students across the country. I have been honored with numerous design awards from the Society of News Design, Society of Professional Designers, ONA, and state competitions.
