What I Do
I am the Sports department's Assistant Managing Editor, managing columnists, the assigning desk, publishing strategy for multiplatform content, staffing and coverage of major events, enterprise stories, and special projects.
My Background
I've been at The Inquirer since 2000, holding leadership positions in Sports since 2008, when I was named Sunday Sports Editor. I have since been College Sports Editor, Deputy Sports Editor, and Sports Editor of The Inquirer, then Deputy Sports Editor of The Inquirer after merging with the Daily News in 2016. I am now Sports Assistant Managing Editor.
Before The Inquirer, I was Deputy Sports Editor of the Asbury Park Press, where I worked for nearly nine years. That followed over five years at the Daily Journal of Elizabeth, N.J., where I was Sports Editor before the paper went out of business in 1992. I graduated from Rutgers with a journalism degree in 1987. I've lived in Cherry Hill Township, N.J., since 2001, with my wife and children.
