Suburban Square is getting new stores.
Coulter Place, a mixed-used building currently under construction in Ardmore’s shopping center, has attracted new retailers to its 19,000 square feet of commercial space, according to a leasing brochure.
The development also will bring 130 apartments to the area and is expected to be complete by fall 2025.
Here’s a look at the forthcoming stores, according to a brochure from real estate firms MSC and Kimco Realty:
Rhone. The apparel brand has locations in New York, Virginia, and Connecticut, but this will be the company’s first store in the region.
New Balance. The sneaker and athletic apparel company based out of Massachusetts has existing locations in Center City, Cherry Hill, and Mount Laurel.
Sugared + Bronzed. This company does hair removal and tans at locations across the country including a store in Center City.
Skin Laundry. The company offers laser facials and has a location in Rittenhouse Square.
Van Leeuwen Ice Cream. This ice cream company with vegan options got its start in New York City in 2008. Locally, the brand has several shops including in Rittenhouse Square, Fishtown, and on South 13th Street in Center City.

Rowan. The company offers piercing services and has a location forthcoming at the Cherry Hill Mall.
Suburban Square was established in 1928 and already hosts several popular retailers such as Sephora, Gap, and West Elm. Some 55,000 square feet were added in a 2005 expansion that brought Trader Joe’s and the Ardmore Farmers Market to the space. An Urban Outfitters location spanning 8,000 square feet was built soon after, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Suburban Square is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m., although the center encourages shoppers to check with individual retailers for hours.
