A visit with the legendary Tom Gola

Monday afternoon, the La Salle legend was seated in a wheelchair, just outside his upper-floor corner room in St. Joseph's Manor, connected to Holy Redeemer Hospital on Huntingdon Pike. There are Philadelphia sporting icons and then there is Tom Gola - CYO champion, Catholic League champion, NIT champion, NCAA champion, NBA champion, an unparalleled resume of accomplishment in this city or really any city.
