Penn State athletics latest COVID report: 830 tests, 20 returned positive

The rate of positive tests on the current report was an improvement over the rate of the previous two reports.

Penn State’s athletic department reported Wednesday that 20 student-athletes from multiple programs tested positive for COVID-19 out of 830 tests administered from Sept. 12 through 18.

The 2.4% rate was an improvement from the reports of the previous two weeks, which saw a 5.8% rate from Sept. 5 through 11 and 5.2% from Aug. 31 to Sept. 4.
