Temple guard Lynn Greer III suspended indefinitely from program
Temple announced Saturday ahead of its game against Rice that Greer has been suspended due to conduct detrimental to the team.
Lynn Greer III did not make the trip to Houston, Texas, for the Temple men’s basketball game against Rice and has been suspended indefinitely due to conduct detrimental to the team, the program announced Saturday.
Greer, who transferred in this offseason from St. Joseph’s, was suspended for the first nine games of the season for an infraction that occurred during his time at Hawk Hill.
Greer started three of four games once he returned and averaged 4.8 points. He sat out for the Owls’ American Athletic Conference opener against Wichita State for personal reasons. Greer returned to play against East Carolina on Jan. 8, but played just five minutes off the bench in the first half.
Guard Quante Berry has taken a bulk of the ball handling responsibilities this season. He’s averaged 9.3 points and 2.3 assists and will be looked at to lead the offense in Greer’s absence.
