Villanova’s Caleb Daniels agrees to training camp contract with the Miami Heat
Daniels is the second player from Villanova headed to the NBA after freshman guard Cam Whitmore was picked at No. 20 by Houston.
Villanova guard Caleb Daniels is taking his talents to South Beach.
The undrafted free agent confirmed via Instagram a report that he agreed to a training camp deal with the Miami Heat on Friday.
Daniels, the 6-foot-4, 210-pound guard from New Orleans, averaged 14.2 points and 4.5 rebounds, starting all 34 games for the Wildcats this past season. A transfer from Tulane, Daniels had career highs in points (482), rebounds (153), and minutes and departs as the team leader in minutes with 33.6 per game. He was also the recipient of the Big East’s Sportsmanship Award.

Now, Daniels will link up with fellow Wildcat and Heat guard Kyle Lowry, who was instrumental in Miami’s run to the NBA Finals this past season.
Daniels is the second player from Villanova headed to the NBA after freshman guard Cam Whitmore fell out of the NBA lottery on draft night and was chosen by the Houston Rockets at No. 20.
