Two police officers injured, suspect dead following shooting in Atlantic City
Atlantic City Mayor Mayor Marty Small said the two police officers were stable after the shootings.

A suspect is dead and two police officers were injured in a shooting in Atlantic City Tuesday.
The incident occurred on the 100 block of North Florida Avenue at about 3 p.m. Tuesday, Atlantic City police said. Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small said police were executing a search warrant on the block at the time of the shooting.
Two officers from the Atlantic City Police Department were transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for treatment. One officer sustained life-threatening injuries, police said.
Small added that he had been to the scene of the shooting, and visited the injured officers in the hospital.
“From what I understand, they’re stable,” Small said by telephone. “They were executing a search warrant and a suspect is dead.”
The mayor would not detail the officers’ wounds, but said, “It was good one was wearing a helmet.”
The shooting, Small added, would be investigated as any other “officer-involved shooting.”
Atlantic City police spokesperson Matt Duffy said the investigation remained ongoing Tuesday evening, and asked members of the public to avoid the area. The shooting is being investigated by the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General. No further information — including the identities of those involved — is being released at this time, the Attorney General’s Office said.
