Two people were killed and four others were wounded in separate Christmas Eve shootings across Philadelphia, police said.

Around 10:15 p.m., police found an 18-year-old man with numerous gunshot wounds to his head and body lying on the sidewalk on Roosevelt Boulevard near C Street in Feltonville, said Chief Inspector Scott Small.

The man was taken by police to Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:30 p.m.

Police found 40 spent shell casings near where the victim was found, including some just inches from his body, Small said.

“It appears to be an execution-type homicide,” Small said.

Just after 10 p.m., police responded to a reported shooting on the 3900 block of Brown Street in Mantua and found two shooting victims inside a white Toyota, said Inspector D.F. Pace.

A woman in her 30s was transported by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 10:13 p.m., Pace said. A man in his early 30s also was taken to Penn Presbyterian and was listed in critical condition.

Police were investigating if that incident was connected to an earlier shooting several blocks away, Pace said.

Around 7:55 p.m., a 24-year-old man was on the 3800 block of Wyalusing Avenue when he was shot several times. He was taken by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

Just after 7:45 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot once in the lower back on the 600 block of North 13th Street in North Philadelphia, police said. The man was taken by private vehicle to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Shortly after 7:50 p.m., an 18-year-old man was in the area of Pennway Street and Cottman Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia when he was shot in the right thigh. He was transported by police to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Police said they recovered two firearms but reported no arrests.

No arrests were reported in any of the other Christmas Eve shootings.
