Police identify 15-year-old killed in North Philadelphia shooting
Angelique Holloman, 15, was killed when at least 27 shots were fired on the 2700 block of North Dover Street, in Strawberry Mansion, police said.
Police identified a 15-year-old girl killed in a North Philadelphia shooting last week in which at least 27 shots were fired, as they continue to search for her killer.
After police responded to the 2700 block of North Dover Street, in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood, shortly after 7 p.m. Dec. 18, they found Angelique Holloman, who lived on the block, with multiple gunshot wounds, police said. She was taken to Temple University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead soon afterward.
Police did not release additional details Tuesday on the shooting, including a possible motive or whether any suspects had been identified.
Investigators recovered 27 9mm shell casings and a weapon at the scene. No arrests had been made.
Holloman’s death came the week after a spate of shootings in the city, some of which left teens injured.
On Dec. 13, a fight erupted into gunfire at Christmas Village at Dilworth Park and left three teens wounded, including a 14-year-old who lost his eye, police said. The teen victim had been sticking up for his brother when an earlier disagreement escalated.
