'Nova rallies to beat the Wolfpack

Alex Louin scored 20 points and Emily Leer added 18 as the Wildcats overcame a 10-point, late first-half deficit to win.

Katherine Coyer scored 11 points and Carolina Coyer (seven points) dished 11 assists for VU (5-7).

Dominique Wilson scored 19 points and Miah Spencer added 18 for the visiting Wolfpack (9-4). Jennifer Mathurin (10 points) and Len'Nique Brown (10 rebounds) chipped in.

TEMPLE 77, SMU 64

The Owls jumped out to a 9-0 lead and never looked back.

Erica Coville had 24 points and 13 rebounds and Feyonda Fitzgerald scored 22 points for Temple (6-8, 2-0 American Athletic Conference).

Alicia Froling added 20 points for the visiting Mustangs (4-9, 0-2). Kiara Perry and Destynee Hives-McCray each added 13.

LA SALLE 65, UMBC 62

Amy Griffin made two free throws with 4.3 seconds left to lift the Explorers, who won despite shooting just 31 percent from the floor. La Salle outrebounded UMBC, 45-34.

Micahya Owens scored 13 of her 17 points in the second half and Alicia Cropper added 15 for LSU (9-4).

Capree Garner scored 22 points to lead the visiting Retrievers (5-7). Dana Lewis added 14 and Taylor McCarley chipped in with 13.
