NFL streaming two Christmas games on Netflix today. Here’s how to watch and stream.

In addition to Netflix, you can also stream today’s Christmas doubleheader on NFL+, the league’s subscription streaming service.

The NFL is hoping to create a new holiday tradition by scheduling two games on Christmas, but good luck finding them on broadcast TV.

In a first for the league, Wednesday’s Christmas doubleheader — featuring four playoff teams — will stream exclusively on Netflix, the most popular streaming service with over 282 million subscribers.

The NFL typically doesn’t schedule games on Wednesdays, but the league moved things around to give players enough time to rest and make room for two Christmas Day games — Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 p.m. Eastern, followed by Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans at 4:30 p.m.

Adding more punch to the offerings is Beyoncé, who is performing live at halftime during the Ravens-Texans game in her hometown of Houston around 6 p.m. The details of Beyoncé's performance have been sealed tight, but fans can expect guest appearances from her Cowboy Carter album.

“I’m going to go out there and watch,” Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson told reporters after last week’s game. “First time seeing Beyoncé perform, and it’s at our game — that’s dope.”

In addition to Netflix, you can also stream today’s Christmas doubleheader on NFL+, the league’s subscription streaming service. The service runs $6.99 a month ($14.99 a month if you to add NFL RedZone and All-22 coaches film replays), and will allow you to stream games on your phone or tablet (but not your TV).

You might need to jump to NFL+ if Netflix experiences technical issues during either game, though the streamer has said it’s corrected the technical problems that frustrated viewers during the Nov. 14 fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.

Netflix will also air its own pregame show beginning at 11 a.m., anchored by Up & Adams Kay Adams and ESPN host Laura Rutledge. The show will include familiar faces, including ESPN’s Mina Kimes, Super Bowl champ Drew Brees, former Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III, NFL Network analyst Manti Te’o, and brothers and former NFL players turned analysts Devin and Jason McCourty.

Here’s everything you need to know to watch or stream the NFL’s Christmas doubleheader on Netflix:

NFL playoff implications for Chiefs-Steelers game

Both the Chiefs and Steelers have clinched playoff spots, but Kansas City would secure the AFC’s No. 1 seed (and with it a first-round bye) with a win.

As for the Steelers, they are in first place in the AFC North thanks to a tiebreaker with the Baltimore Ravens. But Pittsburgh has been heading in the wrong direction, having lost two in a row to the Ravens and Eagles.

Still, the Steelers control their playoff destiny. If they win their final two games against the Chiefs and the Cincinnati Bengals, they would win the AFC North and enter the playoffs with the No. 3 seed.

Ravens (10-5) vs. Texans (9-6)

C.J. Stroud and the Texans have already clinched the AFC South, but could inch up to the No. 3 seed.

NFL playoff implications for Ravens-Texans game

The Ravens clinched a playoff berth by defeating the Steelers last week, but Pittsburgh still holds the tiebreaker thanks to their conference record. So the Ravens need the Steelers to lose at least one of their final two games to have a chance of overtaking them in the AFC North.

The Texans have clinched the AFC South and the AFC’s No. 4 seed, and could move up to the No. 3 seed if they overtake the eventual AFC North winner in the standings. But they’re three games behind the Buffalo Bills with two left to play, so the highest they could climb would be the No. 3 seed.

Will the games air on TV?

As with the NFL’s Thursday Night Football deal with Amazon’s Prime Video, Wednesday’s games will only air on TV in the local markets of the four teams playing.

Here’s a rundown of where you can watch the games on local TV:

  1. Kansas City: KCTV (channel 5)

  2. Pittsburgh: KDKA-TV (channel 2)

  3. Baltimore: WJZ-TV (channel 13)

  4. Houston: KHOU (channel 11)

In Philadelphia, you can also tune into the games on 94.1 WIP, which will be airing Westwood One’s coverage.

Can I watch the NFL’s Christmas games at a bar or restaurant?

Unlike Amazon, Netflix doesn’t have a deal with DIRECTV to air its Christmas games. So to watch it at a bar or restaurant, they would need either a Netflix subscription or use EverPass, which streams sporting events to businesses across the country.

If you want to watch the games at a bar or restaurant, call ahead and make sure your local spot is airing them. And to make sure they’re actually open — it’s Christmas, after all.

How many more NFL games will stream on Netflix?

These are the only two NFL games that will stream on Netflix this season, which the streamer nabbed from the NFL for a reported $150 million.

Netflix will also stream one Christmas game in 2025 and another in 2026 as part of its three-year deal with the league.

The NFL plans to schedule at least two Christmas games next year, when the holiday falls on a Thursday. So Amazon’s Prime Video will stream an evening game on Christmas 2025 as part of its Thursday Night Football package, if you’re planning ahead.
