After the Eagles lost Jalen Hurts in the first quarter due to a concussion, the Commanders stepped up, sealing the win on a Jamison Crowder touchdown catch with 6 seconds left. The Commanders erased a 14-point deficit to snap the Eagles’ 10-game winning streak and prevent their divisional foe from winning the NFC East.

Down: Eagles' health

Several Eagles suffered injuries. Hurts went down early with a concussion. Will Shipley (concussion) was also ruled out. The Eagles briefly lost Josh Sweat and Jordan Davis, but they returned to action.

Down: Kenny Pickett’s consistency

Pickett was shaky at times and solid at others. He connected with A.J. Brown on a touchdown pass and helped complete fourth-down passes for conversions to Brown and DeVonta Smith. He also tossed a pick and threw several inaccurate passes.

Down: C.J. Gardner-Johnson

The veteran Eagles safety incurred two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties, earning him an ejection from the game in the third quarter. Tristin McCollum relieved him and was in coverage on one of Olamide Zaccheaus’ fourth-quarter touchdowns.

Up: Jake Elliott

After missing a 56-yard field goal in the second quarter, Jake Elliott was good from 50 as the Eagles took back the lead, 30-28. The kicker also hit a 40-yarder following the Reed Blankenship pick to put the Eagles up five points.

Up: A.J. Brown

Brown finished the game with a team-high eight catches for 97 yards and a touchdown, eclipsing 1,000 receiving yards for a third straight season. He also drew three defensive pass interference calls on Marshon Lattimore.

Up: Eagles takeaways

The Eagles defense forced five turnovers. Jalen Carter, Cooper DeJean, and Zack Baun forced fumbles, each of which were recovered by their teammates. C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Reed Blankenship picked off Jayden Daniels.
