Eagles-Giants: Start time, channel, how to watch and stream NFL Week 18
The Eagles and the Cowboys will both kick off at the same time Sunday afternoon with the NFC East still up for grabs.
The Eagles (11-5) will end their regular season Sunday against the New York Giants (5-11) Sunday looking for a spark that can carry the Birds through the playoffs.
The NFC East is still up for grabs, but the Dallas Cowboys are in the driver’s seat. For the Eagles to end the season as division champs, they’ll need a win Sunday paired with a loss by the Cowboys, who face the Washington Commanders (4-12).
While the Eagles have lost four of their five games, they’ve owned the Giants’ number in recent years, sweeping New York in four of the past six seasons. They defeated the Giants just two weeks ago in a sloppy game on Christmas day, which snapped a three-game losing streak but didn’t do much to calm the nerves of anxious fans, who chanted “Run the ball!” during the game.
It will be just the third time the Eagles have played the same opponent twice in a three-week span since 2002, when the NFL realigned divisions and reduced the NFC East to four teams. The last time it happened to the Eagles was during the 2021 season, when the Birds played Washington in Weeks 15 and 17 and won both games. It also happened in 2004, when the Eagles and the Cowboys split two games played in Weeks 13 and 15.
So why are the Eagles facing the Giants again for the second time in three weeks? Because NFL schedule makers have found that playing as many divisional games as they can in the last few weeks of the season lessens the chances of teams clinching postseason berths too early.
“Those division games hit harder, they feel different, and nobody ever rolls over,” said Mike North, the NFL’s VP of broadcast planning. “So having those stacked up late in the year kind-of keeps everyone still in it right to the end.”
It’s hard to argue with the results. Entering Week 18, four divisions and three wild-card spots were up for grabs. Here are all the remaining playoff scenarios following Saturday night’s games.

Other NFL games on TV in Philly on Sunday
Week 18 is a national doubleheader, which means fans in Philadelphia will get four NFL games Sunday afternoon, capped off by Sunday Night Football on NBC.
Buccaneers at Panthers, 1 p.m., Fox 29. If the Eagles don’t win the division, the Birds will hit the road to face the winner of the NFC South during the first week of the playoffs. That would mean a trip to Tampa Bay if the Buccaneers defeat the Panthers.
Falcons at Saints, 1 p.m., CBS3. If the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost on Sunday, the winner of this game will become NFC South champs and likely host the Eagles during the wild-card round.
Cowboys at Commanders, 4:25 p.m., Fox 29. Birds fans will be flipping back and forth to watch this one. For the Eagles to win the NFC East, the Cowboys need to lose to the Commanders. The good news for Birds fans is the Cowboys are unbeaten this season in Dallas, but just 3-5 on the road. The Cowboys blew out the Commanders 45-10 on Thanksgiving.
Bills at Dolphins, 8:20 p.m, NBC10. The winner of this game will end up AFC East champs and clinch the AFC’s No. 2 seed. The Dolphins have already clinched a playoff spot, but the Bills would miss the playoffs if they lose and the Jacksonville Jaguars win.
