Howie Roseman brings down the house in surprise appearance at Jason Kelce ESPN taping
Most Eagles fans didn't realize Howie Roseman was in the audience until Jason Kelce pointed him out during a commercial break.
Most sports fans probably couldn’t name their team’s general manager. In Philly, Howie Roseman gets a standing applause.
Eagles fans attending the taping of Jason Kelce’s new late-night show on ESPN at Union Transfer in Philly’s Callowhill section were shocked when the former Birds center revealed Roseman was sitting in the balcony.
The reveal didn’t make it into ESPN’s broadcast of They Call It Late Night. It came when Kelce brought up a viral video of Cowboys star Micah Parsons, who predicted Dallas would win the Super Bowl next season, garnering a loud round of laughs from the audience.
“That’s the appropriate response,” Kelce said.

Kelce said Parson’s comments were ridiculous on their face, considering the Cowboys went 7-10 this season and are home watching the playoffs. But Kelce also said a lot can change from season to season, pointing to the Eagles’ turnaround — losing seven straight games and an early playoff exit last season to becoming one of the NFL’s most dominant teams this year.
“The big difference is the Cowboys have Jerry Jones,” Kelce said. “We have Howie Roseman!”
In a short back-and-forth with Roseman, Kelce asked about linebacker Zack Baun, who earned his first Pro Bowl bid and first-team All-Pro award this season after signing an affordable one-year deal with the Birds.
“I went to him after the All-Pro announcement,” Roseman recalled, “and he asked, ‘Be honest, did you think this could happen?’”
“F— no!” Roseman said, getting the biggest laugh of the night. “And remember that when we work [on] your next contract.”
With the Eagles set to face the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs Sunday, there weren’t any current players in the audience. But a number of former Eagles players attended the taping, including Conner Barwin, Brent Celek, and Beau Allen, who filled in for a sick Kylie Kelce and offered his former teammate some constructive criticism about his post-playing career.
“I’m so f— tired of seeing you on my TV on commercials, Kelce,” Allen joked.
