Eagles-Packers lands on Sunday as NFL announces full wild-card playoff schedule
The Eagles will be the NFC's No. 2 seed in the NFL playoffs and host the Green Bay Packers at the Linc.
With nothing to play for Sunday, the Eagles rested their starters during Sunday’s win against the New York Giants as they prepare for their fourth straight playoff run.
The Eagles will enter the playoffs as the No. 2 seed in the NFC for only the second time in the Super Bowl era (the first was in 1980 when they made it to the Super Bowl for the first time). The Birds will host every postseason game they play this time around at the Linc, unless they face the eventual No. 1 seed — either the Detroit Lions or Minnesota Vikings — in the NFC Championship game.

Who will the Eagles play in the wild-card round?
The Eagles will face the Green Bay Packers in the opening round of the playoffs next weekend at the Linc.
The Packers ended up the NFC’s No. 7 seed after losing at home against the Chicago Bears Sunday. Even worse for Green Bay were injuries to quarterback Jordan Love and wide receiver Christian Watson.
The Eagles defeated the Packers way back in Week 1 in Brazil, but a lot has changed for both teams over the past four months.
The NFL hasn’t yet announced a schedule for the first round of the playoffs. The Eagles will almost certainly play on either Saturday or Sunday during wild-card weekend. The NFL typically schedules a first-round game between the No. 4 and No. 5 seeds on Monday night so it knows the divisional home teams by Sunday night.

Lions vs. Vikings tonight will determine the No. 1 seed
The playoff math is pretty easy at the top of the NFC.
The winner of tonight’s Sunday Night Football game between the Lions and Vikings in Detroit will become the NFC North campion and enter the playoffs as the NFC’s No. 1 seed, meaning a first-round bye and home field advantage.
The loser of tonight’s game will drop to the No. 5 seed and face No. 4 Los Angeles Rams on the road.
Buccaneers win the NFC South
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers clinched the NFC South by defeating the New Orleans Saints Sunday.
The Bucs will enter the playoffs as the No. 4 seed and host the loser of tonight’s Vikings-Lions game next week to open the playoffs.
Tampa Bay would’ve won the division even if they lost on Sunday. The Atlanta Falcons were defeated at home by the Carolina Panthers Sunday, eliminating the from any shot at making the playoffs.

Broncos clinch final AFC playoff spot
The Baltimore Ravens locked up the AFC North and the No. 3 seed by defeating the Cleveland Browns Saturday. That means they’ll be hosting the No. 6 seed Los Angeles Chargers during the first round of the playoffs. The Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills already has the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds locked up entering Sunday.
The final AFC playoff spot was claimed by the Denver Broncos Sunday, thanks to their blowout of the Carson Wentz and the Chiefs’ backups.
The Broncos’ win means Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals won’t sneak into the playoffs.
