Eagles cut tracker: Orlando Scandrick headlines names on waiver wire ahead of Saturday’s 53-man roster deadline
The Eagles need to trim their roster to 53 by 4 p.m. Saturday.
The Eagles have cut cornerback Orlando Scandrick, whom they signed in late July, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Friday.
Scandrick was brought in as insurance when Cre’Von Leblanc went down with a foot injury. He had spent a decade playing for the Cowboys and last season was with the Chiefs. He suffered a bad knee injury in 2014, which has limited his speed.
Scandrick was cut ahead of Saturday’s 4 p.m. deadline for NFL teams to submit their 53-man rosters to the league. The regular season will begin next weekend.
