The Linc turned into a hockey rink in 2019 — hosting its first NHL game, between the Flyers and the Pittsburgh Penguins. In heavy rain, Claude Giroux scored the game winner in overtime to lead the Flyers past the Penguins in a 4-3 win.

Beyonce kept fans waiting five years for her return to live performances. That changed when she announced her first show back in the United States was at the Linc. Her performance even featured an appearance from her daughter, Blue Ivy.

In 2017, Eagles kicker Jake Elliott made history against the New York Giants. Carson Wentz put the team in position to win and Elliott sealed it, making a 61-yard game-winning field goal — the longest in team history — as time expired.

The 2008 Eagles season came with a lot of ups and downs — and a 9-6 record — but the team clinched a wild-card spot with a dominant 44-6 win over the rival Cowboys. The Eagles demolished Dallas with a strong defensive performance.

7. Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour

It was an era we can’t forget. Taylor Swift performed in front of a sold-out crowd in a three-night concert series. Swifties not only flooded the inside of the stadium, but also those without tickets “taygated” outside.”

6. The Snow Bowl

The Linc turned into a winter wonderland in 2013. A forecast that called for a few flurries ended up turning into a blizzard. That didn’t stop LeSean McCoy from rushing for 217 yards and two scores in the Eagles’ 34-20 win over the Lions.

5. Fourth-and-26

In the 2004 NFC divisional playoffs, Donovan McNabb bested Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers. Late in the fourth, down 17-14, facing a fourth-and-26, McNabb threw a 28-yard pass to Freddie Mitchell — leading to an Eagles overtime win.

4. Eagles win 2004 NFC championship

Fourth-and-26 didn’t lead to a Super Bowl, but the next season the Eagles returned to the NFC championship for a fourth straight year — and this time they won, beating Michael Vick’s Falcons to advance to their first Super Bowl since 1981.

3. WrestleMania returns to Philly

The biggest weekend of wrestling made its return to Philly for the first time in 25 years. The highly-anticipated two-night event set a new gate record with 145,298 fans in attendance for both nights.

From a fan perspective, WrestleMania XL goes down as one of the best WrestleManias of all time. From Cody Rhodes finishing the story over Roman Reigns in one of the best storylines in WWE history to appearances from megastars such as The Rock and John Cena.

The Eagles manhandled the San Francisco 49ers in a 31-7 win, sending the Birds to another Super Bowl. And with that win “a flock of Eagles was heading to Arizona.

Brock Purdy was on a magical run that year, but San Francisco lost its starting quarterback to an elbow injury in the first quarter after a hit from Haason Reddick. Purdy came back in the second half after his backup Josh Johnson left with a concussion. By that time the Eagles had the game won.

The Eagles faced the Minnesota Vikings in the 2017 NFC championship game. This was considered a battle between two stout defenses.

The Vikings came out and scored a touchdown early — silencing the crowd. The Eagles didn’t answer and went three-and-out right after. But Patrick Robinson’s pick-six changed the momentum of the game. The Birds defense and Nick Foles were on fire — throwing for 352 yards and three touchdowns — in the team’s 38-7 win.
