Deebo Samuel ... is rooting for the Eagles?

As the Eagles aim to get their second Lombardi trophy, the Kansas City Chiefs are on the verge of making history by becoming the first team ever to three-peat. The Chiefs have gained quite a lot of hate from fans throughout their success, even being accused of referee favoritism from the officials.

That hate is leading some to root for the Eagles — even former Philly enemies like San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel.

Jeremiah Trotter on watching his son follow in his footsteps: 'I’m just extremely proud of him'

Eagles rookie linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. is preparing to compete in his first Super Bowl with the Eagles after a 55-23 win over the Washington Commanders — and no one is more proud than his father, Jeremiah Trotter Sr.

Trotter Sr. played 12 seasons in the NFL, seven of them with the Eagles. During his time with the Birds, he won one NFC title in 2005 before losing to the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. A photo has been making the rounds of him holding Trotter Jr., who was just a child at the time, after their NFC championship win over the Atlanta Falcons.

Nick Sirianni says Andy Reid is one of the two best coaches ever

Nick Sirianni never coached alongside Andy Reid, but the two share a bond as coaches who have led the Eagles to a Super Bowl. Reid only managed to make one in 14 years with the Eagles, while Sirianni is already in his second in year four.

Reid then went on to win three Super Bowl in Kansas City and has a chance to win a fourth next Sunday. While Sirianni doesn't count Reid among his mentors, he did share the tremendous respect he has for the future Hall of Fame coach during his Wednesday appearance on the WIP Morning Show.

The Eagles are Super Bowl underdogs. Don't tell Nick Sirianni.

The Eagles are technically underdogs in the Super Bowl. And while fans may once again break out the dog masks, don’t expect to see that from any players, and especially not the head coach.

The Birds are only getting a point and a half from the Kansas City Chiefs (according to DraftKings). And while some might be quick to use that as a motivational factor, Nick Sirianni said on WIP on Wednesday that he won’t be going there.

Nick Sirianni explains why this week's practices are so important

For the second time in three years, the Eagles are heading to the Super Bowl. And for the first time in franchise history, they'll have a coach at the helm who already has a bit of Super Bowl experience.

Of course, Nick Sirianni isn't as seasoned as the coach he'll again face on Sunday, Andy Reid, but he is taking the lessons he learned in the run up to the 2023 Super Bowl in Glendale, Ariz., and applying them to this year's team.
