Source: Eagles to sign CB Adoree' Jackson

The Eagles are bringing a veteran cornerback into the fold, agreeing to terms on a one-year deal with Adoree’ Jackson, a league source confirmed to The Inquirer on Thursday night.

Jackson, who turns 30 in September, brings eight seasons of NFL experience to a young corps of Eagles cornerbacks. Between his first four years with the Tennessee Titans and another four with the New York Giants, Jackson has started 82 games (97 games played total).

Given his experience, Jackson figures to have the opportunity to compete for the starting outside cornerback role that was vacated by Darius Slay, who was released at the start of the new league year and signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Kelee Ringo, the Eagles’ fourth-round pick in the 2023 draft out of Georgia, is likely in the mix for the role, too.

DeMarcus Lawrence speaks on the Cowboys after signing with Seahawks

DeMarcus Lawrence agreed to a three-year, $42 million contract with the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday, after spending his first 11 NFL seasons with the Dallas Cowboys.

Lawrence was officially introduced in Seattle today and in an interview with Brian Nemhauser of the Hawk Blogger, he took aim at the Cowboys.

"Dallas is my home," Lawrence said. "Made my home there, my family lives there, I'm forever going to be there. But I know for sure I'm not going to win a Super Bowl there."

Josh Uche's bond with Brandon Graham

Ever since college, Josh Uche has wanted to be like Brandon Graham. For a young pass rusher at Michigan, Graham was an obvious on-field role model. He was a first-team All-American, a top-5 draft pick, and had grown into a staple on the Eagles defensive front.

But what stood out most to Uche was how giving Graham was off the field.“I remember being at Michigan — all the pro days, Brandon Graham would always make sure he came back to support the guys,” Uche said during Super Bowl week. “Once I got out of college, I tried to follow in his footsteps and do the same by going back my first couple years, supporting the guys, and we would connect and talk … He’s that ‘Michigan Man’ that you look up to while you’re in college. He’s the epitome of what it means to be a Michigan Man. All the years he’s put in, the big-play moments he’s had.”During his early NFL career in New England, the “big-brother-type connection” between Uche and Graham kept building. After playing the Eagles in 2023, Uche and Graham did a jersey swap — from “one 55 to another 55, which was pretty cool,” Uche said.

Now, after facing Graham in Super Bowl LIX with the Chiefs, Uche is once again following in his footsteps.

The Eagles are bringing a tight end into the fold, agreeing to terms with Harrison Bryant on a one-year deal, a league source confirmed to The Inquirer on Thursday.

The NFL Network first reported the news. The deal is reportedly worth up to $2 million.

Bryant, who turns 27 next month, is a five-year NFL veteran who most recently spent the 2024 season with the Las Vegas Raiders. The 6-foot-5, 230-pound tight end played the first four years of his career for the Cleveland Browns, the team that selected him in the fourth round of the 2020 draft out of Florida Atlantic.

Eagles likely to continue shopping in bargain racks

Former Titans linebacker Jack Gibbens could be a target for the Eagles.

I'd expect the Eagles to continue to shop the bargain racks for depth pieces with potential upside based on various factors, as they did with outside linebacker Joshua Uche (late season trade/bad fit) and running back A.J. Dillon (injury).

One name I like for inside linebacker: Jack Gibbens. He suffered a season-ending ankle injury in November and wasn't tendered by the Tennessee Titans. He's now an unrestricted free agent. I imagine New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel might have interest, since Gibbens was productive with him in Tennessee.

Eagles could still take mildly bigger swings in free agency, but I imagine the trade market is more likely if they're looking for a starter.

Did ESPN's Schefter reveal Brandon Graham's decision?

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter broke the news on the Eagles signing former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Joshua Uche. Did he break news on Brandon Graham as well?

Coming off the Eagles' Super Bowl win, the veteran Birds defender is contemplating retirement after spending his entire 15-year career in Philadelphia.

Graham, 36, is technically an unrestricted free agent and has yet to announce a decision about his future. But in a social media post announcing the Uche signing, Schefter said the move was made by the Eagles "to help replace Josh Sweat and Brandon Graham."

2025 Eagles free agency tracker: All the players the Birds have added

Players who have agreed to sign with the Eagles

  1. Harris Bryant, tight end: The Eagles are signing the former Las Vegas Raiders tight end to a one-year deal.

  3. AJ Dillon, running back: The former Green Back Packers back missed all of last season with a neck injury, but has been cleared to return by a neck specialist this offseason, according to the NFL Network.

Players the Eagles have re-signed

  1. Ben VanSumeren, linebacker and fullback: The 24-year-old exclusive rights free agent will remain in Philly on a new one-year deal. VanSumeren missed the final month of the season and the playoffs after injuring his knee during practice.

  2. Zack Baun, linebacker: The Eagles locked down one of their biggest free agents last week, signing the surprise All-Pro Zack Baun to a three-year deal reportedly worth $51 million.

  1. Kenyon Green, guard: Acquired in the C.J. Gardner-Johnson trade, the former first-round pick missed all of 2023 with the Houston Texans due to a shoulder injury and finished last year as a backup.

After missing last season, can AJ Dillon thrive as Saquon Barkley's backup?

The Eagles added even more firepower to their backfield Wednesday, agreeing to terms with former Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon, according to league sources.

The deal came a few hours after the league year turned over and after Kenneth Gainwell reportedly agreed to join the Pittsburgh Steelers on a one-year deal, making the switch toward Dillon a one-for-one swap of backups for star running back Saquon Barkley.

Dillon, 26, was a second-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft out of Boston College. The 6-foot, 247-pound power back has been effective both in short-yardage situations and catching passes out of the backfield during his career, but he missed all of last season with a neck injury after suffering a stinger at the end of the 2023 season. According to NFL Network, Dillon was cleared to return by a neck specialist this offseason.

Three days into NFL free agency, nine former Eagles players have yet to be signed by other teams.

The list includes cornerback James Bradberry, who the Eagles released on Wednesday after missing all of 2024 with a torn Achilles tendon and soleus muscle.

Former Ravens safety Marcus Williams added to list of defensive free agents still available

Two words: slim pickings.

Three days into NFL free agency, and the Eagles still have several holes to fill after losing Milton Williams, Josh Sweat, and Isaiah Rodgers. The Birsds also traded away C.J. Gardner-Johnson and cut Darius Slay and James Bradberry.

Among the free agents still available is former Atlanta Falcons safety Justin Simmons, who has experience playing for defensive coordinator Vic Fangio and said playing for the Eagles is "high on the list."

Darius Slay isn’t coming back to the Eagles, but he is remaining in Pennsylvania.

The six-time Pro Bowler signed a one-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Wednesday after being released by the Eagles, according to The Inquirer’s Jeff McLane.

Slay was open to returning to the Eagles, and the Birds had interest in bringing him back, but weren’t able to beat the reported $10 million the Steelers put on the table.
