Snow during Eagles-Rams on Sunday? There's an outside chance, forecasters say
There's an outside chance a bit of snow could fall during the Eagles' playoff game Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.
No major storm is expected, but a 1- to 3-inch type snowfall is possible in Philadelphia Sunday into Monday, in advance of what the computer guidance suggests will be the coldest weather so far this season, according to Ray Martin, a lead meteorologist at the National Weather Service Office in Mount Holly.
The probability of snow isn't high, but chances of something falling peaks after 5 p.m., which would be sometime in the third quarter. But those numbers are also likely to change as we get closer to the game.
Pat McAfee breaks down the Eagles’ botched wrestling celebration
Quinyon Mitchell notching his first career interception provided a feel-good way to cap off the Eagles’ playoff win over the Green Bay Packers.
But what was even more memorable was the botched celebration that followed.
After the pick, Mitchell waved over fellow rookie cornerback Cooper DeJean so that the former could attempt the wrestling finishing move known as “the Pedigree” — made famous by Paul “Triple H” Levesque.
Eagles OC Kellen Moore on Cowboys coaching chatter: 'We'll see'
Kellen Moore's name had already popped up twice last week for open head coaching jobs with the New Orleans Saints and Jacksonville Jaguars, both organizations with plans to interview the Eagles' offensive coordinator.
But when the Dallas Cowboys and Mike McCarthy parted ways, Moore's name was an obvious one for consideration there.
Moore played for the Cowboys before becoming their quarterbacks coach and later their offensive coordinator.
Eagles DC Vic Fangio on who will replace injured linebacker Nakobe Dean
It was Oren Burks the rest of the way after Nakobe Dean left Sunday’s win over the Packers with a knee injury, but defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said Tuesday that Jeremiah Trotter Jr. could be in the mix this weekend.
The Packers seemed to go after Burks when they could, and the Eagles may look to work in Trotter to see how the rookie plays.
“I think Trot’s got a good future,” Fangio said. “That future could be now.”
Eagles-Packers the third most-watched NFL game of the season

No wonder A.J. Brown's reading habits garnered so much attention.
The Eagles' wild-card win over the Green Bay Packers Sunday on Fox averaged 35.9 million viewers across all Fox Sports platforms. The audience peaked around 7 p.m. at 39.4 million viewers, according to the network.
That would make it the third most-watched NFL TV broadcast this season, behind two Thanksgiving games. Other wild card ratings numbers have yet to be released.
Nick Sirianni criticizes 'lazy' media personalities in coverage of A.J. Brown's book

Nick Sirianni jumped to the defense of A.J. Brown Tuesday after the wide receiver was seen during Sunday's broadcast on Fox reading a book on the sideline.
As The Inquirer reported, Brown has been reading the book, Inner Excellence, all year as a way to clear his mind and remain focused during games. It just happened to be the first time a TV camera caught him flipping through pages on the sideline
Initially, Fox play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt suggested Brown was reading due to frustration over his lack of production — he had just one reception for 10 yards the entire game.
Eagles will host the Rams in the divisional round, who open as big underdogs
The Eagles will face the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round of the playoffs, after the Rams beat the Vikings, 27-9, on Monday.
The Rams dominated the Vikings in the wild-card round to advance to the divisional round against the Eagles. Despite the Rams being the home team, the game was played in Glendale, Ariz., due to the wildfires in Los Angeles.
Despite their dominant win, the Rams have opened up as 6-point underdogs against the Eagles, according to BetMGM Sportsbook. The over/under is set at 43.5 points
Troy Aikman mocks Cowboys dysfunction over coaching decision

Tell us what you really think, Troy.
The Hall of Famer turned ESPN announcer mocked the dysfunction at his former team involving Mike McCarthy, who is a free agent after the Cowboys failed to come to terms on a new head coaching deal.
Speaking ahead of last night's wild card game, Aikman said the move caught him off guard and not-so-subtly pointed the finger at the team's owner, Jerry Jones.
Rust or redundancy? Breaking down QB Jalen Hurts’ uneven return
The Eagles are moving onto the NFC divisional round of the playoffs to face the Los Angeles Rams with a question still lingering.
Sunday’s 22-10 win against the Green Bay Packers featured a familiar formula for the team, one that revolves around dominant defensive play and a steady, explosive run game that can sometimes mask a stagnant passing attack. Will that passing attack find consistency in the postseason’s final stretch? Will it need to?
After a season with uneven production ended with Jalen Hurts missing two games with a concussion, the Eagles quarterback’s return could be described similarly in the win. He finished 13-for-21 with 131 passing yards and two touchdowns, but had a dry spell midway through the game that featured seven straight incompletions and two sacks in nine dropbacks.
