The Eagles re-signed linebacker Paul Worrilow to a one-year contract on Wednesday, after Worrilow missed the 2018 season while recovering from a torn ACL.

Worrilow, 28, originally signed with the Eagles last spring. He tore his ACL on the first day of organized team activities in May, sidelining him for the year. He was expected to contribute on special teams and compete for playing time on defense.

Worrilow stayed around the team throughout the season and will try to make the roster in 2019, although the linebacker depth chart is uncertain.

The Delaware native played five seasons with the Falcons and Lions before joining the Eagles. He has started 52 of 72 regular-season games, and played three postseason games in 2016.

Nigel Bradham is the highest-profile returning linebacker. Jordan Hicks is a pending free agent. Kamu Grugier-Hill and Nate Gerry are returning contributors. LaRoy Reynolds and D.J. Alexander were key special teams players but are free agents.
