Back with her husband

A "lost" 1831 portrait of a Gratz family ancestor returns to its relatives at Rosenbach Museum - thanks to a blog.

“Portrait of Rebecca Gratz” by Thomas Sully, 1831, and “Portrait of Joseph Gratz,” her brother, by G.P.A. Healy, were acquired by the Rosenbach two years ago. The subjects were the sister- and brother-in-law of Mrs. Benjamin Gratz, whose portrait has been donated to the museum by descendant Maria Gratz Roberts of Atlanta and reunited with the companion painting of her husband.
