The lineup for this summer’s 58th annual Philadelphia Folk Festival — held, as ever, at the Old Pool Farm in Upper Salford Township, near Schwenksville — has been announced.

Top billing at the fest, which runs from Aug. 15 to 18, goes to David Crosby, the former Byrd and member of CSN (and Y), who will perform in an “and Friends” configuration. Who those friends might be is unclear, though Amanda Shires, the songwriter and fiddler who has played with Crosby, along with her husband, Jason Isbell, is also on the bill.

The choicest booking on the bill is Margo Price, the Americana singer-guitarist (and drummer) who has established herself as a formidable bandleader and songwriter with her albums Midwest Farmer’s Daughter (2016) and All-American Made (2017). She and her bandmate-husband, Jeremy Ivey, are expecting a baby in May, so presumably this will be one of her shows after going back on the road.

Also among the headliners: The Mavericks, the versatile veteran party band led by Cuban American crooner Raul Malo, who have been in top form this decade, long after their 1990s run of country hits; the joyous Preservation Hall Jazz Band, which has shaken off its staid image in recent years and infused trad New Orleans jazz with youthful spirit; “One of Us” vocalist Joan Osborne with her “Sings the Songs of Bob Dylan” show; Bucks County indie songwriter Langhorne Slim and his the Lost at Last Band; black British country singer Yola; African American folklorist Dom Flemons; zydeco squeeze box wielder Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band; and veteran country-folk star Kathy Mattea.

The festival starts with its customary Campers Only concert, hosted by WXPN-FM (88.5) DJ David Dye. It features A.J. Ghent, Elephant Sessions, and Ida Mae.

Early-bird tickets are now on sale at pfs.org or at 800-566-3655.
