Two country music stars had Philadelphia Eagles on the brain this weekend

Unrelated country singers Zach Bryan and Luke Bryan both proclaimed their love for the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend in separate on-stage events.

A pair of country musicians can’t stop talking about the Eagles — and we don’t mean the band.

Luke Bryan told a Camden crowd on Friday to thank him since the Philadelphia Eagles recently scooped up several players from his beloved University of Georgia — lineman Jalen Carter, linebacker Nolan Smith, cornerback Kelee Ringo, and running back D’Andre Swift.

“The Eagles pretty much drafted my whole Georgia football team,” Bryan said. “I mean what is it, like ‘Fly Eagles Fly’ or somethin’?”

The crowd quickly got rowdy, breaking out into E-A-G-L-E-S chants while Bryan laughed and nodded.

The tributes continued Saturday at a Zach Bryan — he’s not related to Luke, for the country uninitiated — show in New York. At one point during Bryan’s set, the “Something in the Orange” singer — a proud Eagles fan — called New York Giants’ Daniel Jones on stage as a surprise guest.

But as the pair sang Bryan’s song “Revival” together, Bryan let out a “Go Birds!” — likely a devastating troll for Jones and other Giants fans in attendance.

Bryan grew up in Oologah, Okla., but lives in Philly. Last month, his “Burn, Burn, Burn” tour hit the Wells Fargo Center for back-to-back sold-out shows. He wore a Sixers jersey and let out a “Go Birds” at that gig, too.

The two shout-outs over the weekend are just the latest instances of Eagles’ fandom among the country music scene.

In May, Reading-born Taylor Swift said a lyric in her song “gold rush” was “of course” about the football team. An E-A-G-L-E-S chant broke out in the crowd that night, too. She also recently donned an Eagles sweatshirt while stopping by a recording studio.

Country/hip-hop artist Breland’s “Do It for the Birds” became the hype song for the team’s Super Bowl run last season.

Delaware native Jimmie Allen released his track “Let’s Go” for a special NFL Eagles playlist last year. However, his involvement with the NFL has been scrubbed from the franchise’s website since sexual assault allegations against the singer were publicized last month.
