Flyers game in Lake Tahoe switched from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. start
Weather and ice conditions forced Sunday's game to be moved to later in the day. It will now be televised on NBCSN instead of NBC10.
STATELINE, Nev. — Sunday’s Flyers-Bruins outdoor game in Lake Tahoe has been moved back more than five hours because of poor ice conditions.
The Flyers’ game will now start at 7:30 p.m. and will be televised on NBCSN instead of NBC, as officials hope the twilight provides colder conditions. Saturday’s game between Vegas and Colorado was halted after one period because the ice was unplayable.
The entire weekend has been a headache. The Flyers and Bruins were unable to practice at the rink, located on the 18th hole of scenic Edgewood Tahoe golf resort.
The league said Sunday’s time change was made “in the interest of player safety due to Sunday’s forecast of sunlight with no cloud cover and unseasonably warm temperatures.”
