Delivering graduation memories

Madeline Birkner is a college access coordinator with the non-profit Philadelphia Education Fund working out of Olney Charter High School. She will be offering her seniors the opportunity to receive their customary College Access graduation medallion at their homes along with a photo. “There is something special about having a nice photo of yourself in your cap and gown,” she says. “Plus, I I got to see the students in person and celebrate the moment with them…It’s exhausting, but so worth it to see them with their families.” Over 50 seniors signed up to have their photos taken at home or in front of the high school.”
