Penn State-bound running back Jabree Wallace-Coleman led Imhotep Charter’s second-half surge, helping the Panthers outlast visiting Chester, 28-24, after trailing by double digits at halftime.

Chester built an early edge thanks to Daron Harris, a junior safety who intercepted three passes in the first half.

Harris, who has offers from Syracuse, Connecticut, Kent State, and interest from Penn State, also caught a pass for a touchdown and returned a kickoff for another score in the first half.

Chester junior linebacker Jerrell Palmer helped bottle up Wallace-Coleman early.

Wallace-Coleman, however, wasn’t contained for long. The 6-foot-1, 205-pounder previously committed to Georgia before flipping to Penn State. Last year, he helped the Panthers claim the PIAA Class 5A title. This year, Imhotep moved up to Class 6A, which could mean a showdown with Catholic League power St. Joseph's Prep.
