‘I probably wouldn’t be on a bike today’: This women’s biking group helps conquer fears, form community

From how to ship a road bike to tips on riding in a pencil skirt, Women Bike PHL serves as a resource, an outlet, and a forum for its 4,200 members.

Women Bike PHL began as a Facebook community designed to inspire women, trans, and non-binary Philadelphians to ride a bike and feel comfortable doing so. Today, the group holds over 4,200 members, many of which meet up offline for group trips, like the bike-camping trip where this picture was captured.
