Fall Foliage Forecast
Peak color has finally hit Philadelphia, here’s where to visit this weekend
Fall colors have finally peaked in Philly! We are also only a week away from Halloween, so if you haven’t yet checked out a haunted house, stocked up on candy, or (like me) picked out your costume, this is your friendly reminder to get to it.
Local fall festivals to check out before the season ends
Maze Days (October 25-26): This is the last weekend to partake in fall activities at Dilworth Park in Center City. Friday October 25 sees a Haunted Happy Hour in the beer garden. On Saturday there will be live music, a stein-holding contest, and trivia.
Scarecrows in the Village (October 25-27): Take a stroll through the brick paths of Peddler’s Village in Bucks County and admire the 200 scarecrows on view. Not into straw-filled statues? The village also hosted a pumpkin carving contest, so you can see some prize-winning jack-o’-lanterns on display at the Visitor & Event Center too.
FallFest (ends October 30): With wagon rides, pumpkin patches, and a corn maze, Shady Brook Farm in Yardley has something for everyone. Tickets generally cost between $15 and $35, depending on when you go and whether you want to also see their Eerie Illuminations.
