Two shot dead in car at Burlington County apartment complex
Two other passengers were not injured, according to a release from the Edgewater Park Township Police Department and the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office.
A driver and one of his passengers were fatally shot early Saturday morning while inside a vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex in Edgewater Park Township, according to law enforcement authorities.
Sadiel Gonzalez, 25, a resident of the Orchard Park Apartments where the shooting took place around 12:20 a.m., was the driver, according to a release from Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Edgewater Park Township Police Chief Robert Hess. The other victim, Altarrek Bell, 18, a resident of North Carolina, was a passenger in the back seat, they said. Both were pronounced dead at the scene on Woodlane Road and autopsies were pending.
Two other passengers were not injured, according to the release.
A spokesperson for the Prosecutor’s Office said they were in a Chevrolet Camaro that was backing out of a spot at the time of the shooting. Authorities said the shots came from outside the vehicle.
No arrests or motives were reported.
