Man critical after Roosevelt Boulevard hit and run

An unidentified man was in critical condition Wednesday night after being struck by a hit-and-run pickup truck on Roosevelt Boulevard in the city’s Summerdale section, police said.

Shortly before 8 p.m., the man was crossing the boulevard at Pratt Street when he was hit by a truck turning onto the boulevard’s inner lanes, police said. The man, described as in his 30s, was taken by medics to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital.

The truck was described as possibly a Ford and gray in color.
