I-95 southbound in Northeast Philadelphia reopened after shooting investigation
The victim is a 35-year-old male who was shot in the stomach and was hospitalized in stable condition, police said.
Part of I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia was shut down Saturday morning for more than six hours for a police investigation into a reported shooting.
Southbound lanes between Woodhaven Road and Academy Road were reopened about 11 a.m.
According to police, a 35-year-old male was shot once in the stomach on southbound I-95 near Academy Road around 4 a.m. and drove himself to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital. He was in stable condition Saturday afternoon, police said.
No weapon had been recovered and no arrest made, police said.
The investigation is ongoing by the Northeast Detectives Division.
