The federal bribery trial of Philadelphia City Councilmember Kenyatta Johnson and his wife, Dawn Chavous, continues Wednesday, the tenth day of testimony.
On Tuesday, prosecutors neared the end of their federal bribery case against Johnson, but not before one heated back-and-forth with one of their own witnesses.
Prosecutors claim that Johnson accepted bribes to aid the financially struggling nonprofit founded by legendary music producer Kenny Gamble. Johnson and Chavous have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
