A TikTok husband and wife’s routine fit checks have their grip on viewers’ For You Pages — and it all started in Philadelphia.

Lifestyle influencer Campbell Hunt Puckett is best known these days by her husband’s nickname for her: Pookie.

Together, her and Jett Hunt Puckett’s content has earned them millions of likes, brand deals, and a jolt in popularity. Their videos document their day-to-day of being in love and going on dates. But they’re best known for their outfit breakdowns, which usually follow the same formula: They walk through their mostly high-end (with some Amazon finds sprinkled in) outfits before Jett intervenes with a compliment.

“Pookie is looking absolutely amazing tonight,” Jett said in one video. “Pookie is wearing a quintessential Pookie outfit today,” he said in another. The pair have been producing content together throughout the 2020s, but things really took off this year, according to Know Your Meme. Some call their videos camp, others say they’re cringe, but everyone agrees they’re addictive.

In early January, Jett’s most popular compliment, “Pookie is looking absolutely fire tonight,” received the meme treatment. Dunkin’ Donuts used it in a video featuring a cold brew with doughnuts on top, girlies began describing their own outfits as “very Pookie” or “Pookie coded,” parody videos stacked up.

But it turns out we wouldn’t have any of this deliriously surreal content if the couple hadn’t met in a Philadelphia wine bar in 2015.

Who are Campbell ‘Pookie’ Hunt Puckett and Jett Hunt Puckett?

The Hunt Pucketts are a married couple based in Atlanta with their French Bulldog, Pierre. They are known for their luxury lifestyle content on Instagram and TikTok.

Their fit check videos garner hundreds of thousands of likes and feature Campbell wearing a statement lewk like a “mob wife” fur coat or leather shorts while Jett throws out compliments to his “Pookie.”

What do they do for work?

Campbell works full-time as a social media content creator and runs a fashion blog called You Should Wear That. Before that, she worked as an account executive for several management companies, according to her LinkedIn page.

She also worked as a flight attendant for American Airlines and lived in Philadelphia from 2014 through 2016. She graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.

Jett works in mergers and acquisitions, particularly in the dental industry. He graduated from the University of Georgia (he and Campbell frequently attend the Bulldogs’ football games and document their fandom online) with a bachelor’s in economics and political science, according to his LinkedIn page.

Jett then moved on to Penn, where he obtained degrees in business and law. It was around this time he and Campbell met.

How did Pookie and Jett meet?

Campbell and Jett met around March 2015.

“I walked up to the prettiest girl at a wine bar in Philadelphia and just started talking to her,” Jett said in a TikTok the couple posted on Jan. 11. “Two days later, we were inseparable and 10 months later we were engaged.”

On their first date a couple of days later, Campbell was on a delayed work flight. Jett waited an hour and a half for her. “And thank God I waited,” he said, “because from that moment forward we were inseparable.”

Campbell added that she knew Jett was the one when she was moving into a new apartment. She asked Jett for help and he rented a U-Haul, drove it through Center City, took her to Ikea, and assembled a 1,500-piece dresser for her.

“It was just so hot and made me feel like ‘yes, this man could do anything’ and it just made me feel so good,” she said. “We just had this breakthrough moment. It was just really sweet and catapulted our relationship.”

Ten months later, they were engaged. The pair got married in April 2018.

Since posting the story about how they met earlier this month — which was viewed more than 2 million times — Philadelphians have been immersed, trying to figure out which wine bar the pair met at. It’s still unclear and the Hunt Pucketts haven’t returned a request for comment.

One user went as far as posting a list of area wine bars where “you can meet your Pookie.”

The comments are exactly what you’d expect: “I met my fiancé in Philadelphia. A beautiful bar called Xfinity Live.”

Why are they trending online?

The duo continue to captivate audiences who love, hate, or love to hate them.

One TikToker garnered more than 87,000 likes for calling Jett’s unofficial catchphrase — “Pookie is looking absolutely fire tonight” — her Roman Empire.

Besides the outfit videos, Campbell often documents instances where Jett brings her bouquets of flowers or makes her a favorite iced coffee drink.

“I love Pookie and Jett,” said TikToker Chamberlain Collier in a video that’s been watched more than 138,000 times. “They’re like the biggest green flag relationship I’ve ever seen.”

Ellen Wagner, whose video about the couple was watched 90,000 times, agrees.

“I just love them,” she said.

Wagner continued, “I’ve ended up on a side of TikTok where half the people are like ‘They’re weird’ and half the people are like ‘If this is not the love I have, I don’t want it.’”

Comments on the couple’s videos echo that divide: “It’s so cringe I can’t stop watching,” one said. “I didn’t want to like this couple at first, but I love them now haha,” said another.
