What to know about Joey Graziadei, the Collegeville-raised ‘Bachelor,’ including how to watch
Everything you need to know about ABC's season premiere of 'The Bachelor' including details on its star, Joey Graziadei, who was raised in Pennsylvania.
Will a Montco boy find love with a Philly girl for the world to see? Possibly.
ABC’s latest iteration of The Bachelor premieres Monday, starring Joey Graziadei, a tennis instructor originally from Collegeville.
The show’s 28th season will follow Graziadei as he looks for love among 32 potential matches — three of whom are from Philly.
“I never expected to be in this position,” Graziadei told The Inquirer in an interview ahead of the season premiere, where he spilled about his perfect Philly date, cheesesteak pick, and — yes — his love for the Green Bay Packers (which frankly, has us questioning his judgment from the jump).

The show’s release comes on the heels of the wildly successful Golden Bachelor, which featured Gerry Turner, 72, dating 30 women in their 60s and 70s. Turner ultimately proposed to Theresa Nist, 70. Their wedding aired as a televised special earlier this month and showed Graziadei as one of the guests. Notably, Golden Bachelor contestant Susan Noles of Delco became a fan favorite throughout the season. She also officiated Turner and Nist’s wedding.

Now, it’s Graziadei’s turn to have the spotlight. Will he find love? Will he propose? Will it be with a Philly resident? And perhaps most importantly, will there be poor excuses for cheesesteaks made by ABC’s culinary department?
Here’s what we know.
🌹 Who is Joey Graziadei?
Graziadei, 28, grew up in Collegeville and played Division II tennis at West Chester University. He graduated in 2017 and now lives on and off in Hawaii where he works as a luxury resort and residential community tennis instructor.
He charmed audiences during Charity Lawson’s season of The Bachelorette before being relegated to her runner-up for love. His Bachelor announcement came moments after his breakup with Lawson aired.
“We saw how much of a lover boy Joey is and how much he wants his person,” Lawson told People magazine about her ex becoming the Bachelor. “I do believe that he is going to have no problem finding that.”
For some unforgivable reason, he’s a Packers fan. He also enjoys country music, going on hikes, and spending time with his family — all standard Bachelor fare.

🌹 What are the Philly connections so far?
We know that Graziadei will date three women from Philadelphia, Elenie Latsios and sisters Allison and Lauren Hollinger.
Latsios, 27, who goes by Lanie, is a real estate agent with Compass, where she sells real estate predominantly in Graduate Hospital, Society Hill, and Washington and Rittenhouse Squares. She attended Shippensburg University and Temple University, graduating in 2018, according to her LinkedIn. She comes from a large Polish and Greek family.
Allison Hollinger, 26, is also a real estate agent, and the younger sister of fellow contestant Lauren Hollinger. Lauren, 28, is a registered nurse who works for Jazzi Cosmetic Surgery & Aesthetic Medicine, a plastic surgery and dermatology office near Rittenhouse Square.

If any of the Philly girlies make it to the end, we are guaranteed some solid Philly airtime between the respective contestant and show lead’s hometown episodes. But that only happens toward the end of the season — most seasons are eight to 10 episodes.
During the last season of The Bachelorette, viewers got a small taste of Montgomery County for Graziadei’s hometown episode. He brought Lawson to play tennis in Collegeville and we saw a meal at his family’s home in the ‘burbs.
Ahead of The Bachelor’s premiere, we know Collegeville already gets some airtime early on.
In September, Graziadei and the production crew visited the Collegeville Italian Bakery Pizzeria Napoletana to film some opening segment footage. The bakery catered Graziadei’s sister’s wedding according to Philly Voice.
We also know that Noles, of Golden Bachelor fame, is expected to make a cameo sometime during Graziadei’s season along with other past contestants.
🌹 Is there anything else I should know ahead of time?
There is some sort of new element this season that was first teased when Graziadei was named the next Bachelor.
During The Bachelorette’s After the Final Rose special, Graziadei got to meet Lea Cayanan, a confirmed contestant on his season ahead of time.
Cayanan, 23, conveniently lives in Hawaii and was given an envelope by the show’s host, Jesse Palmer, during the televised special. She was told she couldn’t open the envelope until premiere night and that it contained some sort of “advantage.”
🌹 When will ‘The Bachelor’ air?
The Bachelor will premiere Monday, Jan. 22, from 8 to 10 p.m. Eastern.
🌹 What channel is ‘The Bachelor’ on?
The Bachelor initially airs on ABC and will be available to stream on Hulu and ABC’s website the following day.
