See the final salute for World War II veteran Nelson Henry Jr.

Henry, a Black veteran of World War II who fought for decades to overturn a discriminatory "blue discharge" and finally succeeded in 2019, died of COVID-19 in 2020. His burial was delayed because of restrictions on gathering.

Nelson Henry Jr. fought for nearly 75 years for the right to be buried in a military cemetery, he was kicked out of the Army in 1945 because he was Black and given a "blue discharge," the discharge was unjust, and barred Nelson from receiving veterans benefits that he deserved.
