Gunman steals narcotics worth ‘thousands’ from CVS, police say
The suspect fled on foot after grabbing oxycodone, Percocet and fentanyl.
An unidentified man held up an Overbrook Park pharmacy at gunpoint on Sunday, making off with thousands of dollars’ worth of prescription painkillers, police said.
The robbery took place just after 3 p.m. at the CVS on City Avenue near 75th Street when a man entered the store, pulled out a gun, and demanded oxycodone, Percocet and fentanyl. He fled on foot after stealing the drugs. The value of the drugs was unknown but believed to be “several thousands of dollars,” according to investigators.
