Two contractors working on the Benjamin Franklin Bridge were fatally struck by a PATCO train Friday night, a spokesperson for the Delaware River Port Authority said.
The workers were struck around 9:20 p.m. by a westbound PATCO train on the New Jersey side of the bridge, said DRPA spokesperson Mike Williams.

PATCO reported on social media that trains in both directions were delayed by police activity, but later were running on or close to schedule.
