A 76-year-old woman found dead of suspected carbon monoxide poisoning at a historic Bucks County farmhouse property early Friday has been identified as Dayle Haddon, who had a successful career as a model in the 1970s and ‘80s and later became a UNICEF ambassador.

Just after 6:30 a.m., a 911 call was made for an unresponsive 76-year-old man on the first floor of what Solebury Township police said was a “detached office/in-law suite” at a property on the 6900 block of Phillips Mill Road.

The man, who was not identified, was transported by the Lambertville-New Hope Ambulance and Rescue Squad to a hospital in New Jersey for treatment, police said.

A 76-year-old woman was found dead in a second-floor bedroom, police said. The Bucks County Coroner’s Office identified the woman as Haddon.

A high level of carbon monoxide was detected in the building by the New Hope Eagle Volunteer Fire Company, police said.

Two medics were transported to Doylestown Hospital to be treated for carbon monoxide exposure, and one Solebury Township police officer was treated at the scene, police said.

The incident was investigated by the Solebury Township Police Department.

The farmhouse is owned by actor Marc Blucas and his wife, Ryan Haddon, who is the daughter of Dayle Haddon.

A native of Montreal, Canada, Dayle Haddon appeared on many magazine covers, including Vogue Paris, Cosmopolitan, and Sports Illustrated.

A 2003 New York Times profile on Dayle Haddon said at the time that she was representing L’Oréal, the French cosmetics company, and was appearing in beauty segments for CBS’s The Early Show.

The Times described her daughter Ryan as a television producer who was then married to actor Christian Slater.

In 2008, Dayle Haddon founded a charitable organization called WomenOne dedicated to education for girls and women.

Blucas has appeared in various movies and TV shows and had a recurring role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer as a love interest for the title character.

It was unclear if Blucas or Ryan Haddon were at the property during the suspected carbon monoxide incident.

Early Saturday, Ryan Haddon took to Instagram to pay tribute to her late mother. Describing her as “deeply creative and curious, gifted with beauty inside and out. Always kind and thoughtful.”

“She held so many up, saw their greatness sometimes hidden to them, and always built bridges with her own connections to help them ascend. She was everyone’s greatest champion. An inspiration to many,” Haddon said in the post, finding solace in the “timing of things” and wishing for her mother to rest in light.
