Hungry goats returned to farm after roaming around Chester County township
“Other than doing some fine lawn care, they were well-behaved,” said Kennett Township's police chief.
Police have found the owner of a herd of hungry goats that were on the loose in Kennett Township Wednesday morning.
In a 9:21 a.m. Wednesday post on Twitter, Kennett Township police said the goats were last seen at the Mendenhall Inn on Kennett Pike and appealed for help finding the owner.
One photo accompanying the tweet showed at least a dozen goats munching on bushes.
A couple hours later, police reported the owner had been found.
Police Chief Lydell Nolt said the goats had escaped from local farm. They and were rounded up and returned “without incident,” he said.
Nolt said the goats caused no major damage.
“Other than doing some fine lawn care, they were well-behaved,” he said.
