Third person dies after fiery tanker crash on Northeast Extension of Pa. Turnpike
The crash occurred late Saturday morning in Worcester Township in Montgomery County.
A third person has died as a result of a fiery weekend crash involving a tanker truck and two other vehicles on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, a state police spokesperson said Tuesday.
The crash occurred late Saturday morning in Worcester Township in Montgomery County, said Corporal Joe L. May of the Pennsylvania State Police.

A white Acura became disabled due to a flat tire, and a box truck with its hazard lights activated stopped behind the Acura, May said. A tanker truck then crashed into the box truck and Acura.
The driver of the tanker truck and two people in the box truck died from their injuries. May said their identities were still being confirmed.
The driver of the Acura suffered minor injuries.
The crash and emergency response resulted in the closing of all lanes between the Mid-County and Lansdale exits in Montgomery County for several hours.
