Man killed in triple shooting at Feltonville barbecue

The shooting happened at the corner of North Fourth and West Annsbury Streets.

A 32-year-old man was fatally wounded in a triple shooting at a neighborhood barbecue Monday evening in the city’s Feltonville section, police said.

Just before 7 p.m., the man, who was not identified, was outside on the corner of North Fourth and West Annsbury Streets among around 25 people attending a cookout when a fight broke out and he was shot several times, said Chief Inspector Scott Small.

The man was transported by police to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:13.

Police also took a 29-year-old woman to Temple with a gunshot wound to her right hip. She was listed in stable condition.

A 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his left hand was taken by private vehicle to Einstein Medical Center and was listed in stable condition.

Police found seven spent shell casings at the sccene from two separate-caliber firearms and some of the shooting was captured on nearby surveillance video, Small said. At least one suspect fled in a vehicle.
