From retailers to mail delivery, here is what's open and closed on Presidents' Day.
With the notable exception of banks, many businesses are open each year on Presidents’ Day, the third Monday in February. Established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington, the day is seen as a way to celebrate all 46 U.S. presidencies. Here’s a roundup of the holiday’s impact on some services:
GROCERY STORES

MAIL AND PACKAGES
U.S. Postal Service
❌ Post offices are closed and the USPS will not be delivering regular mail.
UPS, FedEx, and DHL
✅ UPS and DHL services will operate normally. Most FedEx services will, too. Exceptions are for FedEx Express and FedEx Ground Economy, which will offer modified service.

TRASH COLLECTION
