Woman dies after being stabbed multiple times in West Philly

The victim was pronounced dead less than two hours after she was stabbed repeatedly in the head, police said.

A 47-year-old woman died Sunday night after she was stabbed multiple times in the head in a home in West Philadelphia, police said.

The victim’s identity was not released. But police said she died around 7 p.m. at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

Police said the stabbing occurred inside a residence on the 3800 block of Wyalusing Avenue just after 5:30 p.m.

No weapon had been recovered and no arrests reported by police as of 10 p.m. Sunday.
