Man shot dead in West Philly
The victim was gunned down in the 1400 block of North 59th Street.

A 36-year-old man was fatally wounded in a shooting late Wednesday afternoon on the street where he lived in West Philadelphia, police said.
The man, identified as Kenneth Gaffney, was shot in the abdomen around 5 p.m. on the 1400 block of North 59th Street, police said.
The victim was taken by private vehicle to an area hospital and pronounced dead at 5:41. Police reported no arrests, and no other details were released.
