In words and pictures, homeless children tell their dreams

The photograph that 6-year-old Logan Reed snapped near the place he once lived as a homeless child conveys not a thousand words, as the saying goes, but one plain desire.

Detail of the photo greeting cards the children created with their photos and quotes. A few children at one of the city's homeless shelters took pictures with donated cameras - pictures about their lives. Pictures of Hope, as they are dubbed. Those snapshots have now been turned into cards, available as a fundraiser for Drueding Center, a homeless shelter. 10/15/2014 ( MICHAEL BRYANT / Staff Photographer )
